Head of People, Training & Development
At FearFree we are working to break the cycle of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking across the Southwest. We support over 10,00 adults and children every year to not only keep them safe but help them to rebuild their lives free from fear and abuse. We have offices in Trowbridge, Exeter, Gloucestershire, Bristol and Swindon.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our Charity as the Head of People, Training & Development. As the Head of function and a member of the Leadership Team, you will play a vital role in shaping the people strategy and function within the Charity, ensuring that our staff are engaged and have the support they need to thrive in their roles.

Key Responsibilities in the role:
- Ongoing development and delivery of a people and development strategy to be a Charity of Choice which recruits, develops, and retains high performing staff.
- Lead the recruitment and selection processes for all staff and volunteers.
- Oversee employee relations, including performance management.
- Administer and enhance HR policies and procedures to comply with employment legislation.
- Develop and deliver training and development programs.
- Lead and role-model a high performing and inclusive culture in line with our Values.
- Ensure a high level of support and coaching for managers to ensure they have a clear understanding of our policies, framework and tools for managing people.

About you:
- Proven experience in a managerial HR role.
- CIPD membership at a minimum of Level 5 or equivalent.
- Comprehensive knowledge of best practice and trends in relation to HR Management and development.
- Strong working knowledge of employment law and employee relations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a number of stakeholders.
- Experience of Business Partnering/advising senior managers in relation to HR/employment matters.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
