Retail Manager

FearFree provides individual and family support to domestic abuse and sexual violence victims and their children. We are excited to be expanding into retail, opening a number of new charity stores across Wiltshire, with the first opening in Trowbridge.

Reporting to the Area Manager, you will be directly responsible for developing the business and recruiting exceptional shop teams of volunteers, enabling them to raise as much money and awareness as possible for FearFree.
Responsibilities of our Managers:
You will be managing all shop activities and, together with the wider management team, achieve set targets and maximise financial contribution to the charity. You will help with overseeing and managing all shop activities including recruiting, training and managing an effective team of volunteers; being responsible for the day to day running of the shop, ensuring it meets agreed income and expenditure targets taking responsibility for the shop’s accounting procedures including cash reconciliation, daily banking and till procedures.
What we’re looking for in our Managers:
- Charity retail experience
- A strong communicator with excellent organisational skills
- A highly self-motivated, positive and resilient individual
- The ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with a variety of people
- Confidence working well on own initiative,
- Previous experience of working in retail management is essential, as is experience working in the charity retail sector
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate and motivated to ensure our Charity shops are generating as much money as possible to facilitate the work we do in the local community.
We are looking for Retail Managers with previous Charity shop management as essential, who will be responsible for managing all activity in a manner which protects the reputation of the organisation and is in accordance with the Operating Manual, the Health and Safety manual and FearFree policies and procedures. The Manager will always act as an ambassador for FearFree, promoting and engaging with our local audiences.
