How your money can help
could purchase a sensory toy to help a child feel safe during a support session.
could purchase a simple smartphone to enable a victim to make safe contact with our services.
could provide a week’s food shop for a parent and their young children who have been forced to flee abuse.
could train a Volunteer Befriender who provides weekly mentoring support to people overcoming the trauma of abuse.
Donate and make a real difference
1 in 3 women and 1 in 7 men will experience a form of abuse in their lifetime. 1 in 5 children will either witness that abuse or be a victim of abuse themselves from a parent or family member.
Despite being so prolific, abuse continues to be hidden and shamed. Yet for those that do experience it, its effects are life altering from poor physical and mental health, PTSD, depression, affecting one’s ability to learn new skills, access education, housing, stay in employment…the list is endless.
But it doesn’t have to be this way. With your help, we can change this.
We provide lifesaving and life changing support to adults and children affected by abuse. We provide toolkits to help spread awareness of the signs of abuse and to help people understand what a healthy relationship should look like. We empower people to rebuild their lives fear from fear.
But to do this, we need your support. Your donation helps someone rebuild their life free from fear.
"I'm really, really proud to say that I have been supported by FearFree and I honestly don't know what I would have done, had I not met Nancy, or utilized their service."
