Our support

We provide specialist support designed around the unique needs of the military community. Our team includes veterans and military spouses who understand first-hand the pressures, sacrifices, and demands of service life.

Healthy relationships training

Designed in partnership with serving Royal Marines, this four-part trauma informed course will help you to recognise and respond to people who are concerned about their behaviour in relationships.

Who it is for

This course is suitable for armed forces leadership who would like to improve support for personnel. In particular, the course will benefit medical, welfare and faith teams.

What does it cover?

The course will equip you with the tools and skills needed to challenge harmful behaviours and improve the welfare of service families.

By the end of the course you will:

  • Understand domestic abuse and why people may harm
  • Feel confident to have hard conversations
  • Understand how to encourage change through accountability
  • Be able to recognise and respond to hidden harms
Where it is delivered

This course is delivered in person at your base location.

The course consists of four sessions, each lasting half a day. A maximum of 30 people can attend each session.

We recommend that this course is delivered in person, but are able to facilitate online sessions if you prefer.

Military IDVA Service

 

Our Independent Domestic Violence Advisors (IDVAs) provide advocacy and support to victim-survivors of domestic abuse. Our military IDVA provides this expertise with a deep understanding of military life, ensuring that the advice and advocacy is relevant and practical for the Armed Forces community.

Who can use this service?

This service is available to military spouses who live in Wiltshire.

How to refer

This service can be accessed through making a referral on behalf of a patient or client or by the person requesting support for themselves.
