Join our 16 Day Challenge from 25th November to 10th December 2023. Do one small thing to help us make a difference each day for 16 days.

By doing so, you’ll be joining thousands of people campaigning across the world against abuse during the 16 Days of Action, an international campaign against gender-based violence.

“The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is an annual international campaign that kicks off on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and runs until 10 December, Human Rights Day. “

Let’s get started

  1. Pick a challenge based on the number 16. It could be fundraising, volunteering or spreading awareness of our work. 🌟
  2. If fundraising, set up your fundraising page on Enthuse.
  3. Tell friends and family about your challenge. Get them involved.
  4. Help make a difference. 🤗

Challenge ideas

You can choose anything you like to do on one day or across the 16 days.

We do hope groups try to raise monies as well as spreading awareness to help support our work. Why not aspire to reach £160 as a team?

Your 16 Day Challenge Ideas include:

1. Fitness Frenzy: 🏃‍♀️🚴‍♂️ Get sponsored to exercise for 16 minutes every day or try a sponsored 16 mile sponsored walk or 1.6km swim!
2. Daily Acts of Kindness: 🌟 Help us spread awareness of our work, volunteer to hand out our leaflets in your community or join our sticker bombing campaign – email us at fundraising@fearfree.org.uk to find out more. 🤗 Or download, print and share our ‘Signs and Signposting Poster‘ in the office.
3. Give up Something: 🍫 Give up your favourite treat for 16 days. Get sponsored or donate the monies you’d spend on your daily chocolate or takeaway coffee🌟
4. Declutter Challenge: 🧹 Find one item a day that you don’t use or wear anymore for 16 days ! 💰 Sell them online and donate proceeds!
Our 16 Day Challenge is a good opportunity to be a part of this important global campaign, be creative with family, friends and colleagues and make a big difference to adults and children experiencing abuse and sexual violence.

Why?

Every year we support over 10,000 adults and 900 children across South West England, helping them and their families to stay safe and recover after domestic abuse and sexual violence. By supporting FearFree this 16 Days,  you become a vital part of our mission to create lasting change, giving adults and children the opportunity to experience a brighter future.

The funds you raise goes towards helping people like Allie:

“When it was first mentioned about having support with FearFree, I was extremely apprehensive. In the past I have experienced negative communication with counselling and other services for help. This is the first organisation in which I have never felt a form of judgement or lack of compassion or understanding for my personal experiences. The organisation beams love, support and compassion in everything they do. For someone who has been through various levels of trauma, that compassion and care goes further than words and answers themselves.”

Your Impact

£20 – could buy comfort toys for siblings forced to flee abuse with nothing.

£60 – could buy a simple smart phone so a victim can keep in touch with our helpline and services.

£80 – could buy an emergency food voucher to feed an adult and 2 children for a week.

£100 – could buy a hotel room for a victim and their children to provide an emergency place of safety.
