This event now in its 7th year and professionally organised by Exmoor Open Water Swim and sponsored by dry robe, gives you an amazing opportunity to swim in the beautiful Wimbleball Lake in the heart of Exmoor to help families affected by domestic abuse.
While there are medals for those who come in the top three for their age groups, most swimmers will simply be challenging themselves, and having fun, participating in a safe and friendly open water swimming environment!
With 1km, 2km, 4km and 6km routes to choose from there really is a distance for everyone!

FAQs
What time does the event start?
The provisional start time for the 6km “elite” wave is 09:00. The 4km swim will follow directly after the 6km, with the 2km starting after this. The 1km swimmers will start shortly after the last 2km swimmer has started (provisionally this will be around 11:15).
Will there be drink stations on the lake?
The 6km and 4km swimmers will have access to water and jelly babies 1km into the 2km loop. You will not be exiting the lake this year. Hot drinks and snacks will not be provided after the finish.
We recommend you bring food and a hot flask with you for collection in the self-service bag drop after the finish line. There will be drinks and food for sale around the event village.

You need to be 17 by 31st December 2022 to take part. Swimmers under 18 need written permission from a parent or guardian.
It is possible for swimmers aged 12 to 16 to participate, but they must provide details of open water experience of swimming distance and temperature, and be accompanied on the site at all times. Please contact info@exmoorswim.co.uk for details.
