Grab your glowsticks and your glitter…
Free the Night is BACK and this year, we’re heading to Melksham.
Free the Night is an electrifying glow stick lit walk through Melksham Town centre. Expect live music and entertainment as we march together to call for a safer world for women and girls.
The route
Our route reveal is coming soon… but in the meantime here’s some information you might like to know.
The route takes approximately 45 minutes and follows pavements through the town centre before we end the night at King George V Park.
If you don’t fancy walking the full route, then join us at one of the designated joining points or meet us at in the park.
Free to enter
Free the Night is totally free to attend.
On the night glitter tattoos, face painting and refreshments will be available for a small charge.
Who is it for?
Everyone! This event is for people of all ages and genders including children. If you are under 18 you must come along with a parent or guardian.
Although we love our furry friends, Free the Night is only suitable for assistant dogs.
What to wear and bring
Come as you are or dress to express! Glow in the dark accessories, glitter and banners are encouraged. We also recommend wearing flat shoes and bringing a warm jacket to stay cosy in.
There are no cloakrooms, so we suggest only bringing a small bag that you can comfortably carry you with for the whole event, bear in mind you will also be holding glow sticks!
What happens if the weather is bad?
Drizzle or a bit of rain won’t stop us marching, but in the case of seriously bad weather we may have to postpone Free the Night or move it indoors. If this happens we will send you an email on the morning of the event.
