Role description

FearLess attends lots of different events throughout the calendar year across Devon and Wiltshire to raise awareness of our cause and funds. In the past we have attended festivals like WOMAD, county fayres, Pride events and of course our own fundraising events including our Skydive and race days.

This role is incredible varied and flexible and as an Events Volunteer you will join our amazing team, representing us at events in your own community. These are one off events, often at the weekend, and you can pick and choose those you can attend to suit your schedule and location. Dependent on the event, you could be helping us set up, be marshalling our stall at festivals, speaking to members of the public about our cause or selling raffle tickets and running our ‘name the ted’ competition.

Main tasks breakdown

  • Attend and represent us at community events.
  • Help set up our gazebo and items and marshal our stall, alongside other volunteers.
  • Speak to members of the public about our charity and how we support people.
  • Run simple fundraisers like raffle etc at such events.

You’ll be joining our amazing events team helping to inspire the public to support our cause and break the cycle of abuse.

Person Specification

This role would suit someone with great communication skills, who loves to listen and speak to others. You will be passionate about supporting the work of our charity and enjoy getting out into the community. This role involves interacting with members of the public and our internal events team, so would suit someone who is confident and a real team player.

Training and support

FearLess will provide general induction training as well as specific training for this role. This role offers you the opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic team and make an incredible difference to the people we support. Opportunities to attend ongoing training and development will also be made available alongside regular supervision meetings.
