Data Input Assistant

Let’s tackle domestic abuse and sexual violence together across the South-West.

Our offices are incredible hubs for our support teams to work from, they are busy workplaces with many different things going on. Our administration team help to make the magic happen – completing tasks and processes that enable our service teams to do what they do. Tasks are very varied and this role will suit someone who is keen to get stuck in, appreciates process but can also be responsive to need.

The role will include but not be limited to the following:
• Supporting staff with any ad hoc admin requirements.
• Referral input

Working in our office you will get to know our teams and staff and far more detail about how we work and the support offered.

We are looking for volunteers to support our offices in Exeter (Sowton).  Reasonable travel expenses are reimbursed. Hours are variable depending on need but will usually require at least one day (9-5 or 9:30-2:30).

Training and support
FearFree will provide induction training and appropriate training to the role. This role offers the opportunity to develop skills and make an incredible difference to the people we support. The volunteer will be fully supported.

Volunteers may be asked to attend training events and meetings, which may be in the evening.

References can be requested after 3 months of active volunteering.

Person Specification
• Passionate about supporting the work of our organisation (essential)
• Good communication skills (essential)
• Empathy for individuals who have experienced domestic abuse
• Good organisational skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills (essential)
• IT skills – we use Office 365: Outlook, Excel, Word and our internal databases.
