Volunteer Referral Support

This is an exciting time! Let’s tackle domestic abuse together across the South West.

Referrals for our services are being received in very high numbers and our teams are exceptionally busy. To enable the Early Intervention Team to be able to make contact with people seeking support as quickly as possible you can help us by logging referrals on our database, identifying missing data and making contact with professionals, and identifying risk and flagging to the team.

This is primarily an admin role and is an amazing opportunity to learn more about our services. Situated within the Early Interventions team you will learn how we triage clients, how we identify risk and how we allocate support. In addition, you will be welcomed to our friendly office, an open plan space where you will work alongside many of our teams – from high risk support to finance. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn the ins and outs of a busy charity.

Main tasks:
• Call referrals to explain services and enquire if they would like support.
• Make outgoing pre-booked assessment calls
• Complete our DASH RIC assessment with service users, accurately recording responses
• Log and save information to the database
• Identify risks and flag to EI team where necessary

This role requires a time commitment of 1 day or half day per week.

Training and support
FearLess will provide induction training and appropriate training to the role. This role offers the opportunity to develop skills and make an incredible difference to the people we support. The volunteer will be fully supported during their volunteering.

Volunteers may be asked to attend training events and meetings, which may be in the evening or at weekends. Volunteers will also be asked to commit to supervision sessions on a regular basis.

This is an exciting time to be part of our leading Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence organisation. References can be requested after 3 months of active volunteering.

Person Specification
• Passionate about supporting the work of our organisation
• IT skills
• An eye for detail
• Empathy for individuals who have experienced domestic abuse
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
